Editorial: Before completing your Discussion Board Forum, read the websites for the topic you selected. These websites are listed in the Reading & Study folder of the assigned module/week. Once you have a good understanding of the material, reply to the corresponding permanent thread in the Discussion Board Forum in the form of a newspaper "Editorial." Use the materials you read to write your response, assuming you are living in the time in which the event occurred and are writing to a contemporary audience who want the news and your point of view on it. Your work must be clearly supported by your readings and by biblical principles. You must take a definite position on the question posed.
Submit your Editorial by clicking on the Reply button within the thread of your chosen topic. Do not create a thread.
Letters to the Editor: Consider your responses to your classmates in the following module/week of the forum as "Letters to the Editor." Assume you are the reader of this newspaper and want to respond to what you read. Your responses must show some analytical thought and foster more dialogue. Ask questions, give a different point of view, bring up another aspect of the topic your classmates did not cover, and so on. Interaction such as this is what makes this assignment relevant and prevents it from being merely a completion exercise. When writing your Letters to the Editor, you must reply to the board at least 5 times, 3 in response to classmates' Editorials, and 2 in response to classmates' responses to Editorials (to either your own Editorial, or to the Editorials of their classmates).
Submit your Editorial by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 3 and your Letters to the Editor by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 4.
