History of Islam
Islamic is one of the major religions in the world alongside other religions such as Christianity and Judaism. Islam is a religion with a rich history and heritage that is based on strict adherence to the Quran. The elements of the Quran, the Five Pillars and Ramadan are of much importance to a Muslim. Sunni, Shiite and Sufi are some of the branches in Islam that show significance similarities and differences when carefully explored. The scope of this essay is to highlight the importance of the Quran, the Ramadan and the five pillars in the Islamic faith. Furthermore, the essay will highlight the similarities and differences among the three branches in Islam.
The Quran is the holy book in the Islamic faith. All Muslims belief that God, known as Allah gave the Quran to them through Prophet Mohammed. Some Muslims believe that Mohammed was given the Quran at the age of 22years but some scholars believe that it was written after the death of Mohamed. The Quran is of much importance to the Muslims in many perspectives.
